Creative Fundraising Ideas
We are excited that groups of friends in the United States are helping us raise money to add two new floors to our community center. One group of friends in Boston pooled their resources in September and raised $2,000.
Other friends from Salem, Oregon, are using a relay race in Jordan in March to raise money. The Dead2Red is a 242-kilometer (150 miles) race from the Dead Sea to the Red Sea. Teams of 10 runners take turns running 5-kilmoeter legs of the race, riding in support vehicles when they are not running. Because of Jordan’s heat, the race starts late in the afternoon and finishes the next day. The Oregon group is participating this year for the first time, and they are recruiting friends to sponsor them. We are excited the group is using this fun (and challenging) event creatively to raise money for our construction project.

Hey friends - we wanted to give you an update on our expansion project. We have been blessed by many people giving and honestly we love the fact that we expand with many small gifts rather than a few large donations......At this point we have rasied around $65,000 - all of which will be matched! We are on our way to doubling the size of our center.
This spring a group will be organizing a 5K in Ohio with all proceeds going to the building expansion. Other fundraiser and groups from the east coast (Boston) to the west coast (Oregon) are scheduled before our July 1st deadline. Please consider how you can join us in helping the people of this great city.
